Belly Dance for Events
OFFLINE

When I receive a phone call or e-mail about hiring Arabian Flair, the customer usually has several questions. The first is whether or not a belly dancer would be the right fit for their event or party.

Belly dancers are hired for parties, birthdays, anniversaries, belly-grams, weddings, corporate events, gallery opening, fundraisers, and much more.  Belly dancers are wonderful for family friendly events, with bright costumes, peppy music, and entertainment for everyone.  Professional dancers will also have an evening or dinner club show, perfect for restaurants or a private party setting.  Belly dancers will choose their costumes, music, and dance styles to fit your event, from fun and carefree, to sophisticated and elegant.

You can hire a solo dancer or a troupe, and some dancers have live musical accompaniment or a drummer.  The number of dancers/musicians, length and complexity of show, are determined by the customer's entertainment budget, venue, and event.

The dancer should plan out details of the event, before the event date.  Price should be negotiated and any deposits to hold the booking should be received from the customer.  Sound systems needs should be worked out, and staging/dance floor requirements should be settled.  If there is no dance floor or stage, an area should be designated for the dancer(s) to perform in.  The customer usually provides a sound system for the dancer to play CD's and the musicians/drummer to have microphones.

The dancer should arrive early on the date of the event, to finalize any last minute details, give the music to the DJ or sound operator, and to set up.  This is not the time to ask for last minute changes like a different color costume, or different music, or for drastic changes in the show.  Let the dancer know specifics at the time of the booking, so everyone is ready and happy.

Belly dancers make magic happen at events and parties.  Guests will never forget a well planned, thoughtful belly dance show.  Remember to ask questions, plan out and finalize details before the event for an unforgettable time.
