Taking a delicious journey South of the Border by: Pedro Sempertegui & Lindsay White | |
| Los Amigos opened a new restaurant location on Apalachee Parkway, a little east of Capital Circle. I took my lovely girlfriend Lindsay out to see what this new location had to offer. The drive from my house wasn't bad at all, and considering the magical qualities of good Mexican food, I couldn't complain. |

| The menus were brought out as soon as we were seated and they had a lot of the Mexican staples: Enchiladas, Tostadas, fajitas, burritos, among other familiar names. The kid section offered smaller portions of the same favorites and picky kid friendly choice of a cheeseburger and fries. I immediately knew what I was going to get; the enchiladas verdes. Lindsay picked out the bean dip appetizer. The best part was that everything was reasonably priced, not to mention the eternal happy hour 2-for-1 margaritas. For twenty dollars, you can eat like a prince. |
| Everything we ordered was delicious. The refried bean dip had cheese melted on top of it. Lindsay doesn't take too kindly to cheesy flavors but the Monterey jack base for the melted cheese kept it mild yet tasty. My enchiladas verdes was killer. The tomatillo sauce mixed with the sour cream played in perfect harmony with the beef and chicken enchiladas. It's definitely my favorite Mexican dish and I'm really glad Los Amigos made it so well. | | For dessert, Lindsay and I split the tres leches. Thankfully the rich creamy sweetness of it did not come on too strong, because after the huge entrees I didn't think I could handle something too heavy. | | |
| Her take away + The menu's sheer number of options really has something for everyone. - The bathroom doesn't have a big counter or a changing table for those taking their really young children out to eat.
| His take away + The quality of the food was way higher than the prices, especially after the deals. I could definitely make a habit out of coming here. - There's no wifi* but I honestly didn't care. The only social networking I wanted to do was with Lindsay and the plate in front of me.

| *Upon further investigation, I found out that Wifi was indeed on it's way and already available at the Capital Circle location. |
