Years ago there was an article written for a famous magazine that was titled, “And the Sun Went Down on Tuesday”. The article was written by a woman whose husband had just passed away, and it was drawn from her experience with the grief of losing someone she dearly loved. For days and weeks upon end she just could not shake the feelings of sadness, loneliness and despair that often accompanies the loss of someone so close.
One day she was sitting on the side of a small hill and was watching the sun go down. The sky was filled with all the brilliance that wonderful sunsets display, and she realized something that she never thought of before. She began to think about how the sun was setting on her side of the world, but it was rising on the other side of the world. She took the thought further and remembered that the setting of the sun was only preparing for a new sunrise the next day in her life.
This chapter in her life was ending, and a new chapter was to begin. There would be new horizons, new situations, new people in her life that had never been in her life before. So she raised from where she was sitting and began to look around for the new ventures that awaited her arrival. Her memories were still in tact, but they now were the setting sun that motivated her to look for new horizons. Until tomorrow...Why Say More?
