The Leon County Property Appraiser's Office has sent out "TRIM" Notices for the 2010 property tax season.  What is a "TRIM" Notice?  TRIM stands for "Truth In Millage."

This notice tells you what the County has recorded as your property's 2009 and 2010 market value and assessed value.  This notice also gives you an estimte of your 2010 proposed property taxes.

Here is what you need to do... find the line identifying "This Year's Market Value" on the notice.  If this "Market Value" estimate is more than you could reasonably hope to sell your home... then, contact me.  We may have an opportunity to lower your assessment and tax amount.
