From Cinque Terre to Lake Como

Today we drove through tunnels, tunnels and more tunnels traveling from Cinque Terre north to beautiful Lake Como on the border between Italy and Switzerland. After checking into our hotel (which sits on the water's edge halfway up the lake), we walked along the water checking out the ferry schedule. Lunch consisted of pizza, walnut & gorgonzola bruschetta, spaghetti and spinach carbonara. In the evening we watched the sun go down over the mountains from the gazebo of our hotel.
| The next morning after breakfast, we boarded the ferry and spent the entire day riding from one small town to another around the lake - six in all. We had a great time in each - whether visiting the market in Lenno, lunch in Bellagio, gelato in Verenna, shopping in Menaggio, enjoying the sunset in Cadenabbia, or dinner in Tremezzo. But they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll let the pictures do the talking.
