A little time goes by, and some things are forgotten. Other times there are new people who do not have the information as yet, but will benefit by having it. Sometimes there just needs to be a repeating and refreshing of the ideas, but whatever the status, today will be a short sharing about the “main costs” for owning a vehicle.

When most people go shopping for a vehicle, they are looking for price or payment amount, and they forget the five main “Costs” for owning that vehicle. They are as follows”

  • Fuel Costs – How much money will one spend per month owning this vehicle?

  • Interest Costs – How much will the interest portion of the payment cost per month?

  • Depreciation – What will the depreciation of the vehicle be if divided per month?

  • Insurance – How much will it cost per month to insure this vehicle?

  • Maintenance – How much will the maintenance costs be on average per month for this vehicle?

When all of these “Costs” are included, a person may be wiser to purchase a vehicle that is newer with a few less miles, or he or she might choose a car or truck that gets better fuel mileage, or has less depreciation and insurance costs.

The information is free, but the costs that are associated with that next vehicle purchase will not be. Be sure to factor in all of these and any other peripheral costs that may be thought of before making that next vehicle purchase. Until tomorrow...Why Pay or Say More?
