A little boy in his room at night heard a noise and knew that it was the “boogyman”. Frantically he pulled his covers over his head believing that by doing so when the “boogyman” arrived either he would not see the little child or the covers would protect him. Of course, many who read this entry will know exactly what is being told. However, in most cases the “boogyman” never did arrive and if he did those covers wouldn't do a very good job at protecting.
An old manuscript says something that is relative to the “boogyman” idea when it comes to wealth and riches. It says, “If riches increase, set not your heart upon them. For they will take up wings and fly away.” For many today who have been victims to the current economic situation, real estate boondoggle, or ponzi schemes, they have experience the “flying away” of belongings. Some have encounter what it's like to have them fly away like they were on an F15, and though they beilieved their assets were protected, they are now vanished and do not appear to be coming back very soon.
The covering that was in place was not sufficient, and the protection that was supposed was only a mirage. Now what is left is no longer the non-essentials, but rather the core beings of those who have undergone this fate. For some, they exit the stage, but for those who push past the sorrow and look deeply, the intangible treasure remains in place and that wealth of heart will never fall victim to the “boogyman”. Until tomorrow...Why Say More?
