| Let's start with Halloween. The old me would go out and buy my favorite candy. Not only that, but I would get a jumpstart by buying my candy a week a head of time. Big mistake, huge! I found myself having to run out again, sometimes more than once to replenish the candy I ate in the week before Halloween. Having my favorite candy in the house was a bad idea. It called me, it haunted me and I gave in. Don't tell me you don't do that. The last several years have seen a huge decline in trick- or -treaters coming to my house. Last year I think we had 5. Do I really need 10 pounds of candy? First thing to do is to buy something you don't like. Something you won't eat. Buy it the day before or even the day of. Planning a head is going to save you a lot of temptation. Ok, you've made it though the first part, now comes the hard part. Your little ghosts and goblins come home with bags of sugary, gooey, yummy, chocolaty, nutty goodness. |
