The October 6th, first ever Dandi Awards was a unique event spotlighting entrepreneurs and small businesses who give back to our community while building their own business – something to celebrate and emulate! The Dandi Awards was brought to the community by e2e Connect, Entrepreneur to Entrepreneur, Connect, Learn, Share. E2e was formed by a small group of entrepreneurs in Tallahassee and aims to recognize collaboration over competition. The group is comprised of individuals who ‘get it' and simply want to help make it easier for start-up companies to find and connect with vital resources and contacts.
Like so many other programs created to benefit the community, the Dandis would not have been possible without the support of the staff, our judges, our nominators and applicants, winners and attendees! We want to extend the feeling of the evening by specifically making you aware of resources you should know about: 1) our collaborators; organizations who offer resources for small businesses and whose program and offering information filled everyone's swag bags; 2) Our generous sponsors including headlining supporters the Tallahassee Democrat, Hotel Duval, Association Studios, Steve and Linda Evans, and the Economic Development Council's Entrepreneurial Excellence Program and 3) our list of runners-up and winners.
Our definition of collaboration over competition is when two or more people or organizations work together to help each other achieve their goals by sharing knowledge, resources, ideas, contacts and energy, and help hold one another accountable for actions. Tallahassee Grapevine, like e2e, celebrates this rapidly advancing model. We appreciate Grapevine's donation of a subscription to Entrepreneur to every Dandi celebration attendee!
