Children's Day 2012

Come out for an afternoon of fun!

This coming Saturday (28th) , the Museum of Florida History is putting on an event to bring all of Tallahassee’s children together for an afternoon of fun and games.  Starting at 11:00am, the event will host over 10 performing acts to liven up the museum’s theater and Heritage Auditorium.  The Tallahassee Ballet will start things off around 11:30 with artistic feats of athleticism.  And after, acts such as Young Actors Theater and Brian Minders Puppet show will delight both young and old with humor and wholesome entertainment.

Year after year, volunteers have donated their time to help put on this event.  After 29 years, Children’s Day has continued to connect families with organizations and bonds between children in our community.  Organizations like the Challenger Learning Center, BJ’s Party House Performers, Mission San Luis, and many others will be in attendance to play games and get to know the families of our town.  It’s all about the kids and our community.

The Tallahassee Grapevine will be on the scene to document some of the day’s activities and share our post game experiences.  We hope to see you there so stop by the booth!
