This week the GLAM Gyrlz staff had the pleasure of interviewing De'Jae Greene, owner of Cherokee Photography. Her professionalism and attention to detail makes her my favorite photographer in Tallahassee. GLAM Gyrlz: Why did you start Cherokee Photography?
De'Jae: I've had a passion for bright colors and unusual beauty since childhood and I have always enjoyed the versatility of photographs. I decided to combine the two interests to share my emotions, point of view, and vision through photography.
GLAM Gyrlz: Which of your photos would you choose as your favorite?
De'Jae: The favorite photo that I have taken thus far is a VERY hard choice.... In this photo the model (Allison) is stunning and I feel that I captured the allure and essence of the female frame. This image celebrates her tantalizing curves and stunning eyes.
GLAM Gyrlz: What sets you apart from other photographers in Tallahassee?
De'Jae: Cherokee Photography provides High Quality and High Quantity services for a VERY affordable price, not to forget my eye for detail and passion for working with people.

GLAM Gyrlz: What type of photography interests you the most?
De'Jae: I have always been fascinated with the infant/child prefection and innocence... I would like to work in detail on those projects along with more Maternity images... true beauty is life itself, what better way to capture life & beauty than with an expecting mother?
GLAM Gyrlz: Which location do you feel is best for Springtime portraits in Tallahassee?
De'Jae: Well I can't give away my secrets!! Just kidding, I am a huge water lover... so any outdoor shoot that includes a water-source of some sort (ie: lake, river or natural spring) is the best for a dynamic background to your shoot.

De'Jae:
GLAM Gyrlz: In your opinion, what is the hottest fashion trend right now?
De'Jae: I based my opinion on the Spring 2011 collection from Elle- I am excited that animal prints, lace and sheer designs have returned along with small floral prints!!! I love lace and sheer fabric on ANY day!
GLAM Gyrlz: …and the worst fashion trend?
De'Jae: Again, according to the Elle Spring 2011 collection, I do not like that the 70's look is coming back to us as far as the boxed shoulders and flare leg pants go.... These elements to nothing to complement the female form's natural curves....

When I want to feel beautiful I wear My 1953 chandelier earrings and silk clothing.
My must have cosmetic product is My "Gold Lust" M.A.C eye shadow.
Right now I'm craving A root-beer float and a day at the beach.
My favorite Spring 2011 fashion trend is Sheer material with layers adding depth and creativity!!.
When I'm in need of pampering...... I don't have time for pampering, but I do enjoy sitting on the beach with my toes in the sand working on my tan!!
